About the client
Andersen was approached by a MENA-based startup with a request to craft a mobile matchmaking app from scratch for pet owners. As such, it was expected be used by the local community as a space for people united by common goals and concerns. Seamless UX, a fast speed of operation, and safeguards for personal info were must-haves.

About project
The solution’s goal was to serve the local pet owner community by providing a platform for interaction, communication, and adoption, as well as pet boarding and breeding. In order to address this challenge, we assembled a team of Flutter and PHP developers, an architect, QA engineers, a designer, a DevOps specialist, a Project Manager, and a Delivery Manager and quickly got down to work.
Solution
Andersen's team initiated the pet-care app development project with a Discovery phase, which involved gathering all functional and non-functional requirements, creating a Vision and Scope document, conducting AVD assessment, and designing wireframes. This phase was followed by the development stage, leading to the app’s release in the App Store. Subsequently, a stabilization period and further support stage ensued.
App functionality
The project was implemented in full and on time. The resulting app builds upon a geo-locational matchmaking approach, encompassing all the necessary functionalities and external integrations. As such, this range comprises:
- Swiping feature;
- Pet adoption feature;
- Functionality for checking pet health certificates;
- Individual preference-based approach in searching for pets.
