The Canadian company approached Andersen for developing a Telecare platform for easy patient onboarding and communication with physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied healthcare professionals. The customer has an agreement with a network of pharmacies which serve as points where patients can have access to various medical devices to enrich telemedicine consultation with vital signs measurement and other digital check-ups data. Key requirements: smart and convinient scheduler, AI-based triage questionnaire for patients, integration of the system with vital signs monitors, possibility to acquire and process digital stethoscope data, otoscope and medical camera’s images and videos.

Smart scheduler for a medical provider
This is a smart scheduler for a medical provider. For doctors and nurses, scheduler is fully integrated with personal calendars (such as their Google Calendars) for a more convenient workload planning and improved work-life balance. Highly customizable alerts about upcoming encounters and shifts. For the clinic’s admin this solution allows observing specialists, available for consultation, as well as scheduled telehealth encounters, with the purpose of allocating human resources wisely and decreasing the likelihood of patient’s dissatisfaction. Embedded AI-functionality provides the admin with useful insights about possible workload in a particular region, season, and day of the week, based on the previous televisit statistics.

The screen captures the moment of a teleconsultation between a Patient and a Provider (tablet and mobile view). At the bottom of the screen (right side, just below Camera button), there is a window where the speech-to-text recognition option can be enabled. Also, there is a button for uploading medical files, such as pictures of the patient's skin, with the purpose of provider’s evaluation. In the "Pay for appointment" menu, a payment for the encounter can be processed and reviewed.
Group Teleconsulation (Patient's view)
Here we can see the moment of a teleconsultation between a Patient, the patient's caregiver and a Medical Provider. It is the distinguishing feature of our solution enabling caregivers to ask provider questions about the patient’s health and get medical advice from the first hand in order to improve the quality of care. Also, there is a window at the bottom, where the speech-to-text recognition option can be enabled, which is particularly useful for patients with speech impairments. The implementation of this feature we can see at the right side of chat window where the audio file with patient’s phrase is appeared together with recognized text below. This approach allow provider to review patient’s words independently and compare them with machine recognition as well as easily document the history of communication. In the "Pay for appointment" menu, a payment for the encounter can be processed and reviewed.
Teleconsulation (Provider's view)
For the provider’s convenience, all necessary functions are gathered on a single screen. Along with the usual communication buttons there is the patient’s info, chat window with speech-to-text recognition function for easy documentation of the encounter, e-prescribing module and a separate menu for the follow-up summary input in pre-specified templates, with automated medical coding support for diagnosis and charge capture / billing purposes. Essentially, there are the patient’s vitals and body weight, as well as the ECG being displayed for the clinician’s review.
